The cities-stages in 2024
Step 1 La Grande-Béroche-Lausanne
La Grande-Béroche
With its feet in the lake and its head in the clouds, La Grande Béroche enjoys a privileged location in the heart of nature. A union between the cantons of Neuchâtel and Vaud, it has 9,150 inhabitants in the six villages that make it up (Bevaix, Fresens, Gorgier, Montalchez, Saint-Aubin-Sauges and Vaumarcus), constituting a coherent geographical entity and a harmonious living space.
In a green haven surrounded by vineyards and forests, the vast communal territory of 42 km2 extends along the banks of Lake Neuchâtel from Vaumarcus to Bevaix and in the hills up to the Creux-du-Van, whose cirque is located largely within the commune.
Step 1 La Grande-Béroche-Lausanne
Lausanne
Both urban and seaside, between lakes, mountains, vineyards and forests, Lausanne captivates with its gentle lifestyle. Considered one of the best small cities in the world, it offers all the characteristics of a metropolis but on a human scale. A city of culture, sport and gastronomy, it offers a wide range of discoveries. It has unique museums such as Plateforme 10, the new arts district of Lausanne, or the Collection of Art Brut. The Olympic Museum, nestled in a green setting overlooking Lake Geneva and the Alps, allows visitors to relive the values of Olympism.
2nd stage Chippis-Vercorin
Chippis
The commune of Chippis is located in the district of Sierre in Valais. Our village is located on the left bank of the Rhone at the confluence of the Navizence. It extends at an average altitude of 530m over an area of 2km2. Our 1590 inhabitants are called “Chippillards“.
The transformation of our small village into an aluminum city will be accompanied by a migration movement that will also forge our identity. From this time onwards, Chippis learns to integrate new arrivals from all over Europe into its old demographic base. This cosmopolitanism, we celebrate at the end of August with our traditional festival ‘A la rencontre de l’autre“. These different cultures live in good harmony.
Make a stop and be welcome!
2nd stage Chippis-Vercorin
Vercorin
Vercorin will take you on a journey to another era! Its cobbled streets, barns and timbered attics, darkened by time, will enchant you. Gateway to the Vallon de Réchy nature reserve, a «natural jewel of the region», Vercorin is surrounded by nature and its panorama of the Alps and the Rhone plain makes it the balcony of Valais.
Stage in Morges loops
Morges
Protected by its imposing castle and temple, the historic heart is made up of beautiful alleys that invite you to stroll: especially Grand-Rue, where the weekly market takes place every Wednesday and Saturday. Morges is also a place of culture and art, with several museums that invite you to discover the past and contemporary riches.
